If the black graph in the XOLTA app on the DATA tab is above 0, it means that you are purchasing electricity from the grid. There may be several reasons for this:
- That you are using more power than the battery can supply.
- A policy is active that dictates the battery should charge from the grid during a specific time period. In this case, there will be yellow columns in the graph under POLICIES > DETAILS.
- If your policy has a reservation limit, there is a lower limit on how much the battery is allowed to discharge. Once this limit is reached, the system starts buying power from the grid. The Info field on the HOME tab will then display the message Power limit active.
- The battery’s ability to supply power may be limited in the following cases:
- If the ambient temperature is above or below the battery's optimal temperature range - whether it's too cold or too hot. You can find this temperature range in your product manual.
- The battery is close to being fully charged or fully discharged.
